Generally Every Network Charges 1/- per minute (or) 0.5/- per minute.As per number of minute we talk they charge as above per minute.

For EG: If we talk 5 minutes ,we will be charged as 5/- or 2.5/-( as per our Aplicable plan).
If we send SMS,we get charged 1/-.

If we want to make calls to other mobile at 0.5 /- per minute,we have to recharge per month or First Call will be charged more amount or Daily rental of 1/-.

If want to call STD at lower rates,we have to recharge or First calls are charged more .

WHY TATA INDICOM PAY PER CALL IS EXCELLENT PLAN .........................?

They charge 1/- per 10 minutes for local calls & 3/- per 10 minutes.

i.e Internally we See they are charging only 10 paise for 1 minute for local calls & 30 paise for STD calls.

Take Above Example only :

If we talk fo 5 minutes ,we will be charged only 1/- & upto 10 minutes also 1 rupee only. Generally for 2 minutes only we will be charged with 1/-,Here they are giving 10 minutes for Same.

If we send SMS to any where in india,Only 0.5 /- is charged.

Think Practically HOW ADVANTAGEOUS THE OFFER IS,NO OTHER NETWORK IS GIVING THAT CHEAP CALL RATES.
